Cubensis, as you know, is the finest Grateful Dead Music Tribute, period. Their love of the Dead's music and their incredible crowd following insure a fun, upbeat and positive vibe at the show, every time. Brain Salad will finally be debuting an arrangement of Pictures at an Exhibition (Promenade, The Gnome, Promenade interlude, The Hut of Baba Yaga, The Great Gates of Kiev) at the Marlin. Brain Salad really, really will be starting at 8:45 pm sharp, so please plan to join us then for an evening of early ELP music from Brain Salad, followed by the excellent Grateful Dead Music Tribute, Cubensis. Blvd. Brain Salad is pleased to announce our return to Orange County at The Galaxy Theatre. We will be opening for George Lynch and Lynch Mob, and The Chris Poland OHM band. This is Lynch Mob's final tour date, so pretty much anything could happen, and anyone could show up for a guest appearance. As you know, George Lynch was the guitarist in Dokken, and now fronts his own band. Chris Poland is the former lead guitarist for Megadeath. His OHM project has an entirely different sound, a very cool prog/fusion sound, much like Frank Zappa. Kofi Baker, Ginger Baker's son, is playing drums in the OHM band. We're really excited about playing this show with George Lynch and Lynch Mob and Chris Poland's OHM! We'll be playing up in the beautiful town of Julian located in the mountains to the east of San Diego. Bailey's is always a fun place to play and we look forward to a night of progressive music rocking into the night and causing all the mountain critters to wonder what's going on. Camino Capistrano Brain Salad will be performing at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano with the original members of Iron Butterfly on Saturday evening, November 23rd, 2002. This should be a wonderful evening of 60's/70's progressive music. This is the original Iron Butterfly band performing their classics from the 60's. We have tickets available for $16. Paladino's always has a great crowd and we look forward to returning to the valley for another show. Brain Salad opened the night at 8:00 with our second appearance at the club. We debuted a version of Pictures at an Exhibition (Promenade and Baba Yaga) and extended the first impression of Karn Evil 9. Also playing that evening were Smokin', with a top notch tribute to Boston, and Slippery When Wet performing the music of Bon Jovi. We met up with some of our past friends from Paladino's and made some new friends as well. Special thanks for running sound to Nathan, and thanks to Jimmie D. for booking us and other progressive rock bands up in the valley.

Having a good time no matter what comes your way. Our greatly talented friends in Roundabout, a tribute to Yes, started the evening at 8:00 and played a superb set of Yes music, debuting a new tune or two I believe. Next up, Led Zepagain, featuring Swan Montgomery, the Ultimate tribute to Led Zeppelin. Brain Salad finished the night. It was a bit tough to hear on stage, but it's rock and roll. You smile, have a good time and realize you could be doing something far less rewarding. 14 Below is an excellent club up in Santa Monica and we look forward to seeing you there again soon. A special thanks to Jimmie D. , the club's promoter for bringing ELP's music up to Santa Monica and Tarzana.

Also, a special thanks to Roundabout for inviting us to play the evening with them. We had some delays with traffic but managed to get set up and played a spirited first set. Roundabout was next, featuring the debut of their new drummer, Tom. Roundabout always puts out a great show. Excellent vocal harmonies, and spot-on Yes music. Rush tribute Caress Of Steel closed out the evening, playing all the Rush songs just the way they should be - tight, crisp and loud. A huge thank you to Paladinos, and especially Swan for running sound.

Brain Salad will be appearing with our friends in the Yes tribute band, Roundabout. You will truly believe you are seeing Yes play live when you see a Roundabout show, not to be missed. Also appearing at the SummerFest are Cross Eyed Mary, a Jethro Tull tribute band, Laguna, playing great classic rock, Mesa Blue playing So. Cal. original music, and two very talented acoustic guitarists: Janice Smith and Linda Hummer will be playing as well. Life is good.
